A great researcher I know has traced the branch of James Tucker's family into Illinois. It appears most of his children migrated from Tennessee up to Illinois while he stayed back in Tennessee. The interesting thing here is that James and his family consistently line up with the migration route of the Robert Tucker we are looking for. Both were born in North Carolina, both migrated West (James settled in TN, Robert eventually went through KY/TN into MO and down into AR) and the children of James who migrated to IL settled in Union County, IL. Robert migrated to Cape Girardeau County, MO and both counties while in different states butt right up to one another. Keep in mind that we already have one matching yDNA particpate that whose Tucker ancestors also appear to have migragted this similar path. His ancestor also was born in NC and then settled for awhile in the same county that this James did in TN before they migragted on. His ancestor was also married in Guilford County, NC, a place this James Tucker's father Robert, lived at.
