It appears that Tokle or Thokle are the Norwegian versions of Tockle, Tocklie, Thockle, Tochle, Tuttle and Tucker.

Okay, I am going to go out on another limb here with "Tokke". Tokke is a town in Norway but is was formed ion 1964 which does us no good for trying to track down the name of Tucker or a Norse variant from 1,000 years ago. However according to this Tokke stems from:
"The name originally belongs to the river running through the municipality. The Old Norseform of the river name must have been Þotka and it is related to the name of the lakeTotak (which it comes from). The river name is probably derived form the Norse word þotmeaning "roaring, rushing, or howling". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokke

Here are some links to some "Tokle's" that were anglicized/Americanized from
Tokle to Tucker. Most of these are old rootsweb queries and pertain to a Chicago
family from Norway. It would be interesting however if we could make contact and
see if they know of or have a Tokle/Tucker male descendant who would be willing
to do a ydna test.
